Three harbour porpoises curve through the water with effortless speed — painted in the soft blue-greys of the species, one of the smallest and most endearing of Britain's marine mammals. Rarely seen and quietly remarkable, the harbour porpoise is one of the creatures the Marine Conservation Society works hardest to protect. Hand-painted in watercolour in my London studio.
