Alpaca My Love

Two alpacas stand side by side in easy companionship, a rich auburn one and a soft cream one, their heads tilted gently toward each other. Painted with the careful observation and warm humour that makes alpacas so irresistible as subjects. The texture of their fleece, the delicate faces, the slightly comic dignity of the pose, all of it captured in confident watercolour. Hand-painted in my London studio. A watercolour Valentine or anniversary card with genuine warmth and a smile built in.
