A spiny seahorse drifts upright in the water, delicate and improbable — one of the UK's most treasured and vulnerable marine species, painted with the careful attention it deserves. The detail in this card is extraordinary: every spine, every curve of the tail, the translucent fins. Hand-painted in watercolour in my London studio.
